Christmas in the Canary Islands is very different to Christmas in the UK (and probably every other country!!). To start with, in Spain and the countries it has so influenced over hundreds of years (for example Argentina, Venezuela, Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador to name but a few), Christmas Day is celebrated on Christmas Eve, with the main present-giving day celebrated on Las Noches del Rey - the Feast of the Kings - on 6th January.
