It would be easy to go overboard with decor and furnishings but in a low cost holiday apartment that is not a good idea. Luxury villa holiday rentals are a different matter and many tourists would be swayed by a touch of class.
I think the most important thing with any holiday rental is to make sure everything all works and that it is clean and tidy.

Snr Blanco and Snra Corredor need to sort out the mess left behind by the mass corruption, illegal builds,land grab and failed bank guarantees,etc., etc., of the Spanish property boom of the past decade.
The Expensive, and excruciatingly slow justice system offers no guarantee of a fair outcome and repeated appeals can take years before a case is settled.
The consumer law that exists appears to be widely ignored by the judges and there is no standardisation of the outcome of similar cases.
Thousands of purchases,many of them pensioners, are still owed millions of euros by banks and developers who seem to think we will all go away if they ignore us long enough.
Well we won’t go away until Justice and our Human Rights have been served by Spain’s government which has happily aided and abetted the whole tawdry affair.
