Spanish property tours to visit England

Spanish property exhibitions to visit England

Spanish property exhibitions to visit England

Taylor Woodrow will mark its 50th anniversary by touring England with a series of Spanish property exhibitions throughout September.

The exhibitions will offer people looking to buy property in Spain information on Spanish homes and locations, plus Spanish properties that have been reduced in price by up to 41 per cent, to reflect the recent slump in the Spain property market.

Victor Sague, Marketing Director of Taylor Woodrow de Espana, said, ” From talking with our estate agency partners in the UK, we expect there to be significant interest in these offers from both investors and second home hunters.”

Experts will be on hand to advice house hunters at each of the exhibitions, which will be held around England from Sunday 13-23 September.

There are many homes available in seaside and golfing locations throughout Mallorca, Costa Blanca, Gibraltar and Marbella,  Tenerife and the Canary Islands. A  high number of homes will be sold throughout the couple of weeks of exhibitions as it will provide house hunters one last chance to buy a quality home at a fantastic price. It really is now or never for people to take advantage of these top quality homes as these discounts will not be around for long.

A Brilliant site for Professional photos of Tenerife and other Island images

Tenerife Carnaval winner 2007

Tenerife Carnaval

Just found a lovely site for professional quality photos of Tenerife and La Gomera in the Canary Islands, and Sal and Boa Vista in the Cape Verde Islands.

The site - canaryphotostock - has a gallery of more than 4,000 professional photos/images which can be searched in a variety of ways, including location (e.g. Las Americas, Los Cristianos etc) and type (e.g. beaches, Teide etc) or by simply just browsing.

Bad Weather hits Canary Islands

Mt Teide after the snowfall

Mt Teide after the snowfall

In Tenerife, flooding hit La Laguna during the early hours of yesterday morning and the weather was so bad that several families were forced to spend the night in the Parador at Mount Teide as heavy snowfalls made driving impossible. The view of Mount today from the coast today was spectacular as clear skies returned. Snow and hail were reported in Gran Canaria and La Palma airport stayed closed for most of the day due to high winds.

Manchester City FC enjoys Tenerife hospitality and weather

Mt Teide TenerifeTenerife, has long been a favourite destination for UK tourists on beach holidays, is also one of the favourite hangouts of sports stars looking to train in a stress-free environment (many of whom own nice apartments on the island), as the presence of one of the UK’s top football clubs demonstrates.

While the island may be associated with lounging on the beach and nightclubbing for many UK tourists, the footballers of Manchester City have been working hard during their time on Tenerife.

The players, who include the Brazilian superstar Robinho - signed for £32 million from Real Madrid in the summer - have been working in a winter training camp.

Tenerife has attracted sporting superstars to its training facilities in the past. Last year, cyclist Lance Armstrong, the seven times winner of the Tour de France, was spotted training on the island. Apparently Armstrong,  training for a comeback with his new team Astana, was stopped while cycling by local police who were after his autograph.

Tenerife Holidaymakers often end up as Property Buyers

If you have ever wondered why Tenerife is at the top of most people’s holiday lists then take a look at this video. It is no wonder that after a visit many people then turn to buying a property on the island as a second home or an investment.

Golf Property Investment in Tenerife

Many golfers who enjoy coming to Tenerife year after year will have noticed that the quality of the golf courses is improving. Originally, Golf del Sur and Amarilla Golf were THE courses to visit, but they have been taken over both in quality and length by Abama, Golf Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos Golf and Buenavista. As these venues mature and the planned new courses come on stream, Tenerife will grow to be as important a golf holiday venue as Southern Spain and Portugal (and perhaps even Florida and the Carolinas).

As a result of this, eventually property prices will reflect the game’s popularity here and maybe, just maybe, this might be a good time to have a look at properties here on the Island of Eternal Spring!

Seve continues to improve

Just read on the BBC website that Seve may be released from intensive care next week. Madrid’s La Paz Hospital said in a statement on Friday that Seve’s condition “continues to improve”.

Seve Ballesteros

A quick note to say that I just read that Seve, one of my great heroes (I loved his classic swing and swashbuckling style!), is continuing to make a good recovery after his recent operations.

For Seve’s admirers and those who would like to know more about him, his website is: www.seveballesteros.com

Golf in Tenerife

Welcome to our new Blog - created with a view to helping golfers of any standard organise a golfing break, or just to have a game whilst in Tenerife on holiday. Our main goal is to provide useful information on golf courses and the various Golf Societies here on the island, with the hope that they will keep us posted with information on their forthcoming competitiions/events.

To start things off, I thought I’d simply list the various courses, with a link to their website, and, another day, I will start to add some basic information on each course together with the contact details of the Golf Societies I’ve discovered.

For such a small island, Tenerife is blessed with 8 full courses and one par-3 track (plus a number under construction). The courses are (in alphabetical order):

Abama Golf Resort

Amarilla Golf and Country Club

Buenavista Golf

Golf Costa Adeje

Golf del Sur

Golf Las Americas

La Rosaleda Golf Club

Los Palos (par 3)

Real Club de Golf, Tenerife

In addition to useful information on, say, the price of a round at each of the courses, or the cost of hiring equipment, we plan to publish information on Hotel Special Deals, Flights, Car Hire, Things to Do if you are a golf ‘widow’ (or ‘widower’!), a ‘Where are They Now?’ section for our old heroes (if you are my age, they will certainly be ‘old’!), golf ‘funnies’, and any other golf-related category that emerges.

That’s all for now, and we look forward to your helping in the growth of our blog (TPG- Tenerife = Those who’d love to Play Golf - in Tenerife)
